Developer Update May 31st

Hello people of Metropolis! 

Now that Episode 2 is out and you’re all out there smashing up Metropolis, we wanted to take a moment to highlight one of our favourite content creators. If you’re looking for a breakdown of all the new content that Episode 2 brought with it, then Ironsmashweb has you covered! His videos from last week will take you through everything you need to started as you delve into the new Episode. 

We’ve seen a few folks asking about the difference between the ‘Game Mode’ menu and ‘Nexus’ screen. The ‘Game Mode’ menu allows you to select whether you are playing the Story or Seasonal content.  

• GAME MODE – Here you can select whether you want to play the Main Story/Finite Crisis or a particular Season. 
  • If you select Main Story/Finite Crisis, you will now see a ‘Chapter Select’ option which will allow you to play any of the game’s Story missions that you have previously completed or Finite Crisis itself (if you have completed the Main Story).
  • If you select a Season, you instead have an ‘Episode Select’ option which will take you to the ‘Nexus’ screen. 
• NEXUS SCREEN – This is an overview of all available Episodes. Here you can select the Episode you want to make progress towards. 

As a reminder, the most recent Episode’s content will always be playable in Metropolis, regardless of which episode you have selected. This is why you can jump into Episode 2 missions when Episode 1 is selected, but not vice versa. 

If you encounter any issues while playing Episode 2, please don’t hesitate to head to our bug reporting website to describe the issue you have experienced. It’s very helpful for us to understand any problems our players are facing so we can work on fixes in future updates.

Now that both Episodes for Season 1 are in your hands, our developer updates will change from being weekly to releasing them when we have big news to share about future content. We hope this will make the release of each new update an exciting event, while keeping you all up to date on all the happening with the game!
